About a block before the bus reaches your stop, you need to signal
the driver in one of three ways, depending on the bus you’re
on: Pushing a button on the ceiling above your seat;
pressing a black strip to the side of your window; or pulling the
cord above your window. The STOP REQUESTED light at the front of
the bus will light up once you’ve activated the signal.
If you’re not exactly sure where your stop is, sit near the
front of the bus and ask the driver to call out your stop. Again,
they’re nice folks and they’ll be glad to help.
Exit the bus through the rear door if the bus has two doors. Always
wait for the bus to leave before you cross the street, and never
walk in front of the bus.
There. How easy was that?
