EcoPass
EcoPass is an annual photo I.D. transit pass that a company purchases for all full-time employees. It provides unlimited rides on Local, Express, and Regional bus and light rail service anywhere within RTD’s fixed-route system.

EcoPass options
RTD currently offers three EcoPass options to meet your unique needs.

1. Employer-paid is a simple plan by which an employer pays the entire cost of each EcoPass.
   
2. Employee pre-tax encourages employees to use pre-tax money to purchase each EcoPass, reducing both taxable income and payroll taxes.
   
3. Cost-sharing splits the cost of EcoPass between the employer and employee.

How EcoPass works

• All full-time employees at a company must be included in EcoPass.
• The EcoPass cost is determined by location, available transit, and the number of employees.
• Each employee receives one photo I.D. pass for the entire year. Partipants can submit a photo or visit an RTD location to get their EcoPass photos taken.
• All participants, with the exemption of downtown Boulder employees, benefit from the Guaranteed Ride Home Program, a free taxi service in the event of unplanned schedule changes, illness, or emergency.
• EcoPass holders pay a $5.00 fee for SkyRide service to DIA. EcoPasses issued by DIA employers are exempt from this fee. No fee is charged when traveling from the Airport Blvd./40th Ave. or the Stapleton Park-n-Rides to DIA.
• EcoPass is not valid on special services, including but not limited to Access‑a‑Ride, BroncosRide, BuffRide, RockiesRide, RunRide, Saturday Shopper, and SeniorRide.

FlexPass
FlexPass is an annual pass program that can be customized to meet the needs of the employer and employees. The program’s flexible nature enables employees to choose their service level, vary passes from month-to-month, and enter or leave the program at any time.  

FlexPass discount options
Choose to have your employees pay for their FlexPasses, or explore our discount programs.

1. Matching discount:
   If your business decides to subsidize a portion of FlexPass, RTD will match that amount up to 10 percent, with the savings passed on to the employee.
   
2. Pre-tax discount:
   If your business offers FlexPass on a pre-tax basis, RTD will provide a 5 percent discount on every pass.
   
3. Quantity discount:
   If your business purchases at least 200 passes per month on average, RTD will provide a 5 percent discount on every pass.

How FlexPass works

• RTD will work with your company to select and price the plan that fits you best.
  
• An employer must sign a 12-month agreement with RTD.
  
• Some or all of your employees may participate.
  
• Passes are mailed to employee or business prior to the month of usage.

Neighborhood EcoPass
Does your community want to explore the benefits of riding RTD bus and light rail? Neighborhood EcoPass is a discounted annual photo I.D. transit pass that a neighborhood within the RTD District may purchase for all of its residents. A sustainable alternative to single occupancy vehicles, it provides one year of unlimited travel on all Local, Limited, Express, and Regional bus and light rail service anywhere within RTD’s fixed-route system.

How Neighborhood EcoPass works

• All homes within a specific neighborhood must be included in the contract.
  
• The community must be represented by a registered neighborhood organization, association, city, or county government that will serve as a liaison and contact with RTD.
  
• The cost is based on the number of homes and projected usage.
• Neighborhood EcoPass holders pay a $5.00 fee for SkyRide service to DIA. EcoPasses issued by DIA employers are exempt from this fee. No fee is charged when traveling from the Airport Blvd./40th Ave. or the Stapleton Park-n-Rides to DIA.
• Each resident receives one photo I.D. pass for the entire year. Residents can visit an RTD location to get their EcoPass photos taken.
• Neighborhood EcoPass is not valid on special services, including but not limited to Access‑a‑Ride, BroncosRide, BuffRide, RockiesRide, RunRide, Saturday Shopper, and SeniorRide.

College Pass
College Pass is an annual pass program between RTD and colleges that results in discount passes for students. More than 60,000 students enjoy the benefits of using their I.D.s to ride RTD buses and light rail.

How College Pass works

• All students pay a nominal semester fee for College Pass.
• Through a campus-wide election by the student government, students must vote in favor of enrolling in College Pass.
• Once a college is enrolled, students use their school I.D. with valid semester decal to ride RTD services.
• Pricing structure is based on student survey results.

All participating colleges receive free Local, Limited, Express, and Regional bus service, light rail service in all fare zones, and free SkyRide service bus service to DIA, except Auraria Campus and Colorado School of Mines where a $5.00 credit is applied toward the SkyRide fare. College Pass is not valid on special services, including but not limited to Access‑a‑Ride, BroncosRide, BuffRide, RockiesRide, RunRide, Saturday Shopper, and SeniorRide.
