What is the Eco Pass?

The Eco Pass is an annual transit pass purchased by your employer. With this photo ID card, you can ride on all RTD services (excluding special services) 7 days a week for an entire year. You can ride:

• Local, Express or Regional buses
• skyRide bus service to Denver International Airport
• Light Rail
• call-n-Ride

What are the advantages of the Eco Pass?

• Unlimited rides mean you can take many trips, even on weekends.
• Catch the skyRide to DIA. Leave your car at home or park FREE at any RTD park-n-Ride. skyRide is comfortable and convenient.

• RTD does the driving.
• No more standing in lines waiting to purchase bus or light rail passes.
• No more driving in bad weather.
• No more dealing with "road rage."
• Less wear and tear on your car and less mileage on the car.
• Fewer cars and congestion on the roads means we all breathe cleaner air.

The Eco Pass is tax-deductible to employers as well as tax-free to employees for up to $115/month for each employee or $1,380/year. It can be offered as a pretax benefit, saving even more in payroll taxes.

How do I use my Eco Pass?

Using your Eco Pass is easy. Just show the Eco Pass photo ID card to the bus driver or light rail inspector. Then take a seat, relax and enjoy the ride.

How do I get home in an emergency, if I get sick or if I work late?

The Guaranteed Ride Home Program

All Eco Pass cardholders are eligible to use the Guaranteed Ride Home Program from RideArrangers. This peace-of-mind program gives you a FREE taxi ride home in the event of an emergency, illness or unexpected schedule change that requires you to work late. You may use the Guaranteed Ride Home Program on any day you ride the bus or use another form of alternative transportation to get to work. Contact your Eco Pass Coordinator at your company for more details.

• Wednesday: 8:00 a.m - 12:00 pm (Sept thru Feb only)
• In the event of a Holiday, Eco Pass photographs will be taken the following day (Boulder only)

• Tuesday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Thursday: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Denver International Airport

Photos for Eco Passes are taken at DIA on Level 5 on:
Wednesday’s: 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

To generate a new Eco Pass photo, the following is required:

• Letter of authorization dated within a 30 day period
• Identification

Please see your Eco Pass Coordinator to obtain your letter of authorization.

If a lost card must be replaced, the following is required:

• Letter of authorization dated within a 30 day period
• Identification
• $25.00 (check or money order – no credit cards)

If a stolen card must be replaced, the following is required:

• Letter of authorization dated within a 30 day period
• Identification
• Police Report
• $5.00 (check or money order – no credit cards)
• If a Police Report is not available a $25 charge will be administered
