March 2018: Antwuan Anderson
This month, RTD recognizes bus driver, Antwuan Anderson, who drives various routes and has received numerous compliments and commendations. The commendations featured are from passengers, Loretta Jacques, Peter Mann, Eileen Martinez and Michael Comstock for his exceptional customer service.
Loretta Jacques said:“What a driver!! He is friendly, extremely courteous, helpful, and it’s a real pleasure to be riding the bus he is operating. He goes out of his way to be kind. I had not seen him since November and he remembered me an example of his wonderful demeanor. You do have some real jewels working for RTD and I think he deserves some recognition from your company. It seems to me that most of your drivers are very nice, but some are exceptionally nice and Antwuan is one of them. He is just fantastic. Hope he stays with you for a very long time. He is awfully young, so you should try and keep him as long as you can. He makes a lot of passengers happy to be riding RTD.”
Peter Mann said:“I’m writing to tell you of an employee that needs a raise. I have been riding RTD bus lines for 20 years and the driver on the 90L is the best driver I’ve had the pleasure to ride with. I just have to write and say how great he is. This driver truly cares about what he does, he is kind, helpful, an excellent driver, and goes above and beyond his job to help riders. On snowy days, I’ve watched him shovel the area in front of the door to prevent slips. He always announces connecting routes in a way that is clear and audible. He has shown how you can enjoy your work and excel at your job all while making everyone’s day better. Thank you for hiring such a great man.”
Eileen Martinez said:“I would like to commend driver Antwuan Anderson. He is the kindest, most considerate young man; he is a definite asset to your company. He always lowers the bus for boarders and waits until passengers are seated before driving off. He greets and is personable with every rider he encounters. Wish all drivers were like this amazing young man!”
Michael Comstock said:“Antwuan was the driver that picked me up at 6:45 a.m. on the southbound 0, he greeted me with a smile, and when I left he told me to have a great day. Roughly 14 hours later the same smile and pleasant demeanor picked me up and safely dropped me off.”
