Welcome to the future of intercity transportation


Invesco Field at Mile HighDenver's growing number of sports and entertainment venues will soon be served by RTD's new transit project, the Central Platte Valley Light Rail Line. Environmental and engineering activities to design the new line are complete. The 1.8-mile extension will connect the existing light rail line from approximately W. Colfax and 7th Street to Union Station.


Pepsi CenterBy largely following the existing Consolidated Main Line railroad, this extension will serve the western side of Auraria Campus, Invesco Field @ Mile High, the Pepsi Center, Six Flags/Elitch Gardens, the 16th Street Mall Shuttle, Union Terminal, Coors Field and other attractions in the area.


Six Flags Elitch GardensThis line will provide an important link to help metro area residents, visitors, and business customers access the Central Platte Valley area and Lower Downtown.


16th Street Mall ShuttleFunding for the project is provided through a public/private partnership. Actual construction began in February 2001 and is scheduled for completion in April 2002.
