Race for the Cure

The 2016 Race for the Cure is September 25! With direct bus and rail service from stops across the metro area, RTD is the fastest way to get to the race. Keep checking back for more up-to-date information about race day service.

Bus service

Take RTD bus service directly to the Race for the Cure from four metro area Park-n-Rides. Starting at 6:00 am until 8:40 am, at most locations, RTD will provide special bus service to the Pepsi Center stop on Chopper Circle. Return bus trips will leave from the Tundra Lot at the Pepsi Center, at the corner of Chopper Circle and Speer Boulevard, when the bus is full. The last bus will leave at noon.

Rail service

Catch the C, E, or W lines to the Pepsi Center. The C line does not normally operate on weekends; however, special C, E, and W line service will be available on race day starting at 5:00 am with 15 minute service until the race ends at noon.

Participants can also take the D or H lines and transfer to the C or E lines at 10th & Osage station, or take the University of Colorado A Line or B Line and transfer to the C, E, or W lines at Union Station.

Detours and delays

Expect major delays on routes 1, 15L, 16, and 31. Street closures and detours will be in place on Federal Boulevard, Colfax Avenue, Auraria Parkway, and 7th Street from approximately 4:00 am to 12:00 pm on the day of the race.
