Race for the Cure

The last Race for the Cure was held on October 2, 2011.

Bus service
RTD bus service can get you to the race at the Pepsi Center with frequent stops at 15th and Wewatta streets starting at 6:00 a.m. and running until 8:40 a.m. RTD bus service will be available from locations listed below.

Return bus trips will leave from Lot B at the Pepsi Center when the bus is full. The last bus will leave at noon.

Light rail service
Catch the C and E lines to the Pepsi Center. The C line does not normally operate on weekends; however, special C, E and H line service will be available on race day starting at 5:00 a.m. and will have 15 minute service until the race ends at noon.

Detours and delays
Expect major delays on routes: 1, 10, 16, 16L, 20, 28, 31, and AF. Street closures and detours will be in place northbound on Speer Boulevard, Federal Boulevard, Colfax Avenue, Auraria Parkway and 7th Street as early as 4:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m on the day of the race.
All bus and light rail service should return to a regular Sunday schedule by noon.

Vehicles with license plates registered to an address within the RTD district may park up to 24 hours at no charge. Fees apply after the first 24-hours. Vehicles with license plates registered to an address outside the RTD district will be subject to a fee every 24-hour period.
