Director Chris Martinez was elected to the RTD Board of Directors in 2002 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. He represents District B, which includes Northeast Denver and North Aurora.

Director Martinez received his B.S. from Regis University. He is a Senior Account Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City-Denver Branch. He has over 30 years experience as a community and political activist. He has a long history of involvement in neighborhood schools. He is currently a member of several community and civic organizations.

While being on the RTD Board, Chairman Martinez has led the charge to bring an alternative fuel study to the District as well as implementing a DBE/SBE program for FasTracks that is serving as a national model for other transit agencies and municipalities.

Director Martinez and his wife Terry have two adult children and three grandchildren.
