Director McMullen was elected to the Board of Directors of the Regional Transportation District in November of 2004. He represents District E, which includes East Denver, Western Aurora, Eastern Greenwood Village, part of Centennial, and parts of unincorporated Arapahoe County.

Director McMullen has been employed by Speedy Messenger and Logistics since 1985 and has been its operations manager since 1985. He is a graduate of Denver North High School and Trinidad State College with a degree in Occupational Safety. He has also attended Metro State College and Colorado State University.

Director McMullen served five years on the Denver Board of Adjustment for Zoning. He has served on the Board of Cherry Creek Town Home Association since 1994. He served as Captain of House District 9B Democrats for four years. Director McMullen currently sits on the board of Transit Alliance.
