Director Christopher was elected to the RTD Board on November 5, 2002. He took office on January 7, 2003 to represent District J which incorporates a large portion of Westminster, all of Federal Heights, small portions of Arvada, Northglenn, Thornton, and unincorporated Adams County.

He served 33 of his 36 year career in city management with the City of Westminster before retiring in May, 2001. He was Assistant City Manager for 10 years starting in 1968 and was appointed City Manager in May 1978 until his retirement. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas in 1964 and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas in 1968.

Director Christopher has been active in his community over his career serving on a number of boards of directors and as chair in some cases. In part, these include: Adams County Economic Development, Inc., Westminster Rotary Club, Metro North Chamber of Commerce, Westminster Community Artist Series, Colorado City County Management Association, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Adams County Housing Authority, Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation, Westminster Legacy Foundation, and CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties.

Director Christopher and his wife Ann have two married daughters and three grandchildren. They have resided in Westminster for over 39 years.
