Eco Pass Pricing

Pricing is determined by two factors:

  1. Location of business
  2. Total number of full-time (FT) employees or total number of full- and part-time (PT) employees

An Eco Pass contract is based on total number of FT or FT/PT employees on payroll and not on the total number of employees who will be riding.

Contract Minimums

A contract minimum applies to each new or renewed contract per year. If the total number of FT or FT/PT employees on payroll, multiplied by the per person rate based on the business service level area, is less than the contract minimum, then the employer pays the higher amount.

If, however, the total number of FT or FT/PT employees on the payroll, multiplied by the per person rate based on the business service level area, is greater than the contract minimum, then the employer pays that amount.

Employers, who pay a contract minimum, need to pay a prorated amount for each additional employee added to its payroll throughout the year if that employee increases headcount. Contract minimum applies to the initial contract and does not entitle an employer to add more employees than the amount listed on the contract. In most cases, the contract minimum amount is less expensive than purchasing a Regional Monthly Pass for just one employee.

Service Level Area (SLA) Defined

The SLA is determined by either the bus trips available to a business location during morning rush hours between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. or the geographical location of the business.

The four SLA categories include:

  1. Outer suburban
  2. Major transit centers
  3. Downtown Denver Central Business District (CBD)
  4. Denver International Airport (DIA) and home businesses

This chart illustrates the price per employee per year with the minimum contract amount for each SLA. Employees added during the year will be proprated based on the below pricing.
