These meetings are designed to inform the public and to obtain public input on the proposed changes. Â Attendance at public meetings is not required to comment. The following communication assistance is available for Proposed Service Change public meetings:
language interpreters, sign-language interpreters, and assisted-listening devices. Please notify RTD of the communication assistance you require at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting you wish to attend by calling 303-299-2004.
Routes with proposed service improvements
Two trips would be added from the Civic Center Station to I-25 & Broadway. One trip would be added at 4:19 p.m., changing the current Southglenn trip to 4:25 p.m. Another trip would be added at 4:55 p.m., changing the current 4:59 p.m. trip to 5:00 p.m. Minor adjustments would be made for gate availability.
Revisions on the routing would be proposed as follows: From 1st/Fillmore in Cherry Creek, east on 1st Avenue to Colorado Blvd, south to Bayaud Avenue, and west on Bayaud Avenue to Adams Street. This routing would provide service along 1st Avenue between Steele Street and Colorado Blvd, replacing Route 2 service. Service east of Colorado Blvd would be discontinued with alternate service available via Route 46.
Service would increase on Saturdays, east of Havana Street, from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
An additional bus would be added to improve afternoon rush-hour service reliability. A southbound bus at Montbello would also be added at 6:30 a.m. and a northbound bus would be added at Nine Mile at 3:00 p.m. to accommodate high ridership. Ulster/Tufts loop would operate clockwise at all times to improve travel time.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made for weekdays, Saturday, and Sunday service. Schedule adjustments would be made for trips to Front Range Community College to accommodate last class end-times. A northbound trip at 4:10 p.m. would be added from the Boulder Transit Center to 8th/Coffman Park-n-Ride.
A trip in the morning would be added between the current trips at 6:45 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Routes with proposed service improvements/reductions
An additional bus would be added and service would be rerouted on 49th Avenue to Central Park Boulevard to Stapleton Transfer Center.
The northbound trip at 5:05 a.m. would be discontinued.
The trip at 7:59 a.m. would be extended, starting from Wagon Road Park-n-Ride to the Thornton Park-n-Ride. A trip at 5:00 p.m. would also be added from the Civic Center Station to Wagon Road Park-n-Ride due to high ridership on the current trip at 5:04 p.m.
The weekday trip at 8:14 a.m. from Union Station to I-25 & Broadway and the weekday trip at 3:33 p.m. from the Evans Station to Union Station would be replaced with E line trips.
The weekday trips at 8:02, 8:32 and 9:02 a.m. from the 18th & Stout Station would be discontinued south of I-25 & Broadway. A weekday trip at 7:13 a.m. would be added from the Mineral Station to 18th & California. Minor schedule adjustments would also be made.
A weekday trip at 8:14 a.m. would be added from Union Station to Lincoln Station to accommodate 9:00 a.m. starting work times in the Southeast Business Parks.
The F line southbound weekday trip at 1:56 p.m. would be extended from the Southmoor Station to Lincoln Station to accommodate students dismissed at the Auraria campus at 1:45 p.m. The extended trip would return from Lincoln Station as the E line at 3:09 p.m.
Routes with proposed service reductions
Routing would be discontinued into Regis High School. Service will continue to be available along Lewiston Way. Adjustments would be made in weekday afternoon schedules.
Routing would be discontinued into Regis High School. Alternate service would be at bus stops along Lewiston Way, a walking distance of approximately 400–800 feet.
Due to low ridership, the morning weekday trips would be discontinued prior to 10:00 a.m. from the FlatIron Mall loop.
Routes with proposed routine schedule adjustments
The following routes will have service adjustments:
Schedule adjustments would be made on weekday and Saturday service.
Schedule adjustments would be made on weekdays and Saturday after 4:00 p.m.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made on weekends.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made in the early weekday morning schedule for transfer connections at Westminster Park-n-Ride.
An additional bus will be added to improve Saturday service reliability.
Officially implement the current afternoon rerouting via Quentin and Montview Blvd to Peoria, to accommodate the new Health and Wellness Building on campus. The same morning and afternoon routing would be implemented within the campus.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made for trips to depart a half hour earlier at the 8th & Coffman Park-n-Ride.
