2012 Proposed Service Changes and Public Meeting Schedule | January 2012
At RTD, we are committed to building and operating the most productive, efficient transit system for our passengers and the communities that we serve.
In developing these proposed service changes, RTD staff incorporated some of the findings and recommendations from the Fiscal Sustainability Task Force that were presented to the RTD Board earlier this year. The Board-established Task Force was comprised of 10 citizens, 5 RTD Board members and 5 RTD staff who carefully reviewed the financial needs of the organization and made many recommendations on revenues and costs, including service levels, to help ensure that we can provide financially sustainable service for the long term.
The Board-adopted 2012-2017 Strategic Budget Plan closely ties anticipated revenues with service levels and other budget impacts to try and avoid the big fluctuations in service levels we have experienced during the past decade.
We are seeking to establish a baseline, more predictable level of service that can be funded long-term, and upon which we can build additional service in the future as revenues allow. The proposed service changes outlined in this brochure will help RTD meet that objective.
The proposed changes are based on the following criteria:
All input will be summarized and reported to the Board at its October meeting, when final approval will be requested. Proposed service changes described in this brochure are subject to further modifications pending Board approval, after this print date.

| 0 The weekday southbound trip at 5:11 a.m. would be changed to 5:06 a.m. Discontinue three weekday early morning northbound and two southbound trips on Saturdays and Sundays/holidays. Reduce early evening service between I-25/Broadway and Englewood stations from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. Fifteen-minute service would start at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sundays/holidays. 0L 1W Minor schedule adjustments. 2 Discontinue service. Alternate routes 3, 3L, 6, and 10. 3 Discontinue weekday and Saturday service east of Broadway after 9:30 p.m., and Sunday/holiday service east of Broadway after 7:30 p.m. Alternate routes 3, 3L, and 105.
