Light rail
Additional early morning northbound service is proposed from the Evans and the 10th & Osage stations to Union Station, seven days a week to accommodate passengers who will connect with the new W line that runs from Union Station to as far west as Golden.
New service would be added to the West and Central Platte Valley lines of RTD’s expanding light rail network. Everyday service would be similar to the current service on the Southwest and Southeast lines. Basic service would be every 15 minutes, seven days a week. Rush-hour service would be every 5 minutes between Union Station and the Federal Center Station. Late evening and early morning service would be every 30 minutes, including a 2:00 a.m. trip on Saturday, Sunday, and holiday mornings.
Call-n-Ride
In order to better serve our new West Corridor passengers, RTD proposes to add five new Call-n-Ride services. Call-n-Ride is a personalized bus service that will take you anywhere within a specific service area with one phone call. Local fares apply with free transfers to other RTD services. Services would be on weekdays between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., except where noted. Following is an outline of the proposed new Call-n-Ride services.
Service would be based at the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Service area boundaries would be West 38th Avenue, Wadsworth Boulevard, Colfax Avenue, National Renewal Energy Laboratory (NREL), Kendrick Street, West 32nd Avenue, Youngfield Street to the Applewood Village Shopping Center. Service would also be available in the Denver West area and the Walmart at Wadsworth Boulevard/Colfax Avenue.
Service would be based at the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Service area boundaries would be between West 13th Avenue, Kipling Parkway, Morrison Road and Wadsworth Boulevard including Belmar shopping center.
Service would be based at the Jefferson County Government Center/Golden Station. Service area boundaries would be most areas within Golden west, along Johnson Road, West 10th Avenue, and Ulysses Street. Due to additional federal and local funding obtained by the City of Golden, service would be seven days a week with extended hours on Saturday night.
Service would be based at the Federal Center Station. Service area boundaries would be Union Boulevard, Cedar Drive, Green Mountain Park, Alameda Parkway, Indiana Street, Morrison Road, and Kipling Parkway, including the Denver Federal Center.
Service would be based at the Federal Center Station. Service area boundaries would be Kipling Street, Colfax Avenue, Indiana Street, and the West 6th Avenue Access Road including NREL – Denver West Office Park.Transfers would be available at the Oak Station. Service would also be provided on weeknights through shopping hours at Colorado Mills.
Local bus routes
Service would connect at the Knox Station. Service would be discontinued to the Colfax & Federal Transfer Center.
Service would connect at the Federal Center Station. The Green Mountain segment would be discontinued and rerouted to the Federal Center Station. The Green Mountain Call-n-Ride would provide alternate service.
Service would remain the same between Sakura Square and the Decatur/Federal Station. Alternate service west of Federal would be the Route 49 and the Belmar-Westgate Call-n-Ride.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made with improvements for transfer connections on Sheridan and Wadsworth Boulevards.
Service would be discontinued west of Wadsworth Boulevard. Alternate service would be Route 21 and the Belmar-Westgate and Green Mountain Call-n-Rides. On weekdays, trips would be extended to Lakewood Commons via Wadsworth Boulevard, Ohio Avenue, Vance Street, and Virginia Avenue in the Belmar area.
Service would be improved by extending alternate trips from the Oak Station to Golden and rerouting all trips via the Decatur/Federal Station and Denver Human Services. Trips on Simms Street to the Federal Center Station would be replaced by the Wide Acres Call-n-Ride and the West Rail Line.
Service would be replaced by the West Rail Line and Route 16.
Service would operate between the Federal Center Station and Red Rocks Community College. Alternate service would be covered by the Belmar-Westgate, Wide Acres, and Golden Call-n-Rides and the West Rail Line.
Service would be realigned west of Wadsworth to extend on weekdays to Lakewood Commons via the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Midday service would be increased to match the current rush-hour service every 30 minutes. Service west of Wadsworth Boulevard would be provided by the Applewood Call-n-Ride. Westbound evening and weekend service would end at Federal Boulevard.
Service would be realigned west of Kipling Parkway via Union Boulevard to the Federal Center Station. Service west of the Station would be covered by the Green Mountain Call-n-Ride. Evening, weekend, and holiday service would remain the same to Pierson Street.
Service would be realigned to turn south on Wadsworth Boulevard and end at the Lakewood Commons via the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Alternate rush-hour trips would turn back via West 29th Avenue and Teller Street. Alternate service for portions west of Wadsworth Boulevard would be the Applewood Call-n-Ride. Night trips would continue to turn back at Sheridan Boulevard.

Service via the Decatur/Federal Station would end at the Colfax & Federal Transfer Center. Current service levels would remain the same with trips ending at the Wadsworth & Hampden Park-n-Ride.

Service would bypass the Colfax & Federal Transfer Center and connect with the West Rail Line at the Decatur/Federal Station. Current service levels would remain the same.
Westbound service would end at the Exempla Lutheran Hospital. Portions of the route west of Wadsworth Boulevard would be replaced by the Applewood Call-n-Ride.

Service would be proposed as a new route beginning at West 9th Avenue/Vrain Street, via West 10th Avenue, Perry Station, Sloan’s Lake, Lake Middle School, Lowell Boulevard, West 44th Avenue, Lakeside, Harlan Street, West 48th Avenue, Marshall Street, West 52nd Avenue, Vance Street, Wadsworth Boulevard, and into the Olde Town Arvada Park-n-Ride for transfer connections. Service would operate seven days a week, during hours similar to the current Route 9 in Villa Park.
Service would connect with the West Rail Line at the Sheridan Station. Service between Lakeside and Bear Valley would be increased to every 15 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Late evening service on weeknights and Saturday nights would be every 60 minutes for train connections at the Sheridan Station until 1:00 a.m.
Service would connect with the West Rail Line at the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Service would be increased on Wadsworth Boulevard as a result of adjustments to routes 14, 20, 28, and the new Route 76L. Hourly evening service would be extended to seven nights a week for train connections at the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station until 1:00 a.m.
Service would connect with the West Rail Line at the Lakewood/Wadsworth Station. Rush-hour service would begin every 15 minutes at the Wadsworth & Hampden Park-n-Ride, via Estes Street and Yale Avenue with local stops on Wadsworth Boulevard and a diversion to Vance Street in Belmar. Service would not operate through the Lakewood Commons. Limited stops to Colfax Avenue would include transfer points and popular stops of the current Route 87X. During rush-hour, the southbound trips in the morning and northbound trips in the afternoon would be from Yale Avenue to the Wadsworth & Hampden Park-n-Ride via Wadsworth Boulevard.
Service would connect with the West Rail Line at the Federal Center Station and at the Oak Station. Service would remain the same north of Colfax Avenue and south of Mississippi Avenue. The central portion of the route would be realigned from Mississippi Avenue via Garrison Street to Alameda Avenue, Routt Street to the Federal Center Station. Service would continue to West 4th Avenue, Union Boulevard, West 8th Avenue, to the Oak Station and back to the current route on Kipling. The same changes would be offered on Saturday via the Ridge Road campus, with 30-minute service during the weekdays, and hourly service on weeknight evenings during shopping hours.
Route would replace Route 100X. Stops would be the same between the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride and Alameda Avenue, to the Federal Center Station via Routt Street. During rush-hour, southbound trips in the morning and northbound trips in the afternoon would be added. Connections would be made at the Federal Center Station with Regional buses and the West Rail Line for the Jeffco Government Center and downtown Denver.
Route would replace the Route 116X north of the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride. Service would start at the Park-n-Ride, making local stops via Ken Caryl Avenue, Simms Street, Belleview Avenue, and Quincy Avenue. Service would make the same limited stops as the Route 100L via Kipling Street, Alameda Avenue, and Routt Street to the Federal Center Station. Connections would be made at the Federal Center Station with Regional buses and the West Rail Line for the Jeffco Government Center and downtown Denver.
Express bus routes
Service would be replaced by additional Regional trips between Civic Center Station and Federal Center Station and by Call-n-Ride service west of Union Boulevard.

Regional and SkyRide bus routes
Service would be restructured. The route to Denver International Airport would begin at the Denver Bus Center located at 19th/Curtis, continue to Market Street Station, Union Station, 20th Street, I-25, and I-70 to the Airport Boulevard/40th Avenue Park-n-Ride. Service would be relocated when the underground Union Station bus concourse opens and the stop at Market Street Station would be closed. Connections from the Federal Center Station and West Rail Line would be made at Union Station. Airport service from the 30th/Downing Station would be Route 43 to connect with Route AS at the Stapleton Park-n-Ride.
Minor schedule adjustments would be made for access to the new Pine Junction Park-n-Ride and on Route CS for connections with the West Rail Line at the Federal Center Station. A late evening rush-hour trip would be re-introduced, departing from the Civic Center Station at 6:12 p.m. and departing the Federal Center Station at 6:37 p.m. to Pine Junction.

New regional service would replace the Route 116X east of the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride. Service would remain the same west of C-470, to the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride. Service would continue via C-470, I-70 and US 6 to make connections with the West Rail Line at the Federal Center Station. Eastbound service would remain the same as Route 116X on US 6 with express stops to the Civic Center Station. Route KC passengers originating or terminating at the Federal Center Station would pay the express (light rail 3-zone) fare. Regional fares would apply for service from the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride to the Civic Center Station. Service is proposed for three trips to arrive at the Civic Center Station at approximately 6:30, 7:10, and 7:50 a.m. and departing at 4:10, 4:50, and 5:30 p.m.
