We’re excited to offer our customers new transit options with the opening of the Gold Rail Line or G Line to Arvada and Wheat Ridge. This new rail line represents another major step in developing a comprehensive transit network to meet the transportation needs of our customers in the greater metro area.

New Rail Lines Opening

  • G Line

    New G line service is coming in 2017. The new 11.2-mile commuter rail line will travel between Union Station and Wheat Ridge, passing through northwest Denver, Adams County and Arvada. The new G line will serve eight stations, including Union Station, 41st/Fox, Pecos Junction, Clear Creek/Federal, 60th & Sheridan/Arvada Gold Strike, Olde Town Arvada, Arvada Ridge, and Wheat Ridge/Ward Road. Travel time between Union Station and Wheat Ridge/Ward will be approximately 25 minutes.

Proposed changes for local routes

  • route 8

    It is proposed the route would serve the new 41st & Fox Station on the new G line. Weekday midday service would operate every 30 minutes between downtown Denver and Wagon Road Park-n-Ride.

  • route 17

    It is proposed to replace route 17 service with new route 125.

  • route 19

    It is proposed to create route 19 with service from route 6 between 106th and Union Station. Service would deviate from Pecos Street to serve the new Pecos Junction Station. Additionally, service would be also operate on Pecos Street between 33rd Avenue and 46th Avenue.

  • route 31

    It is proposed to deviate service from Federal Boulevard to serve the new Clear Creek/Federal Station and discontinue service to US 36 & Sheridan Station.

  • route 31L

    It is proposed to discontinue service. Alternate service would be provided by routes: 19, 31, 72, and 80 to make connections with the G line, B Line, and Thornton Park-n-Ride.

  • route 50

    It is proposed to discontinue service between Sheridan Boulevard and Olde Town Arvada Park-n-Ride. Alternative service would be provided by route 51 between Dartmouth and 44th avenues.

  • route 51

    It is proposed to merge existing route 50 and 51 service between 44th Avenue and Dartmouth Avenue into one route, as route 51. Service would be deviated from Sheridan Boulevard to serve the new 60th & Sheridan/Arvada Gold Strike Station. Service would operate every 15 minutes between 60th & Sheridan/Arvada Gold Strike Station and Sheridan and Dartmouth.

    It is proposed to discontinue service north of the US 36 & Sheridan Station. Alternate service would be provided by the proposed new route 53. It is also proposed to discontinue the deviation to Harlan Street between 44th and 48th avenues, and the deviation around the former Westminster Mall.

  • route 52

    It is proposed to discontinue service west of Ward Road.

  • route 53

    It is proposed to create new route 53 with service from route 51 north of US 36 & Sheridan. Proposed rush-hour service would operate every 30 minutes, and 60 minutes at all other times.

  • route 55

    It is proposed to create a new route to operate between Olde Town Arvada Station and Arvada Ridge Station. Service would operate on Allison Street, 52nd Avenue, Garrison Street, 49th Street, and Kipling Street. Proposed weekday frequency would be every 30 minutes, and no service on weekends.

  • route 55L

    It is proposed to discontinue service. Alternate service would be provided by the new G line.

  • route 72L

    It is proposed to discontinue service. Alternate service would be provided by the new G line.

  • route 76

    It is proposed to provide weekday 15 minute frequency between Lakewood Commons and Olde Town Arvada Station. It is also proposed to extend rush-hour trips to Southwest Plaza from Wadsworth & Hampden Park-n-Ride to provide 15-minute frequency between Southwest Plaza and Olde Town Arvada.

  • route 80

    It is proposed to provide two rush-hour trips between Simms Street and US 36 & Sheridan Station.

  • route 80L

    It is proposed to discontinue service. Alternate rush-hour service would be provided by route 80, with two trips between Simms Street and US 36 & Sheridan Station.

  • route 92

    It is proposed to discontinue service west of Sheridan Boulevard. Alternate service would be provided on route 100.

  • route 99

    It is proposed to create new route 99 with service from route 100 south of Federal Center Station.

  • route 100

    It is proposed to split service at Federal Center Station. Service north of Federal Center Station would be route 100 and service south of Federal Center Station would become route 99. Route 100 would deviate from Kipling Street to serve the new Arvada Ridge Station. It is also proposed to discontinue service to Ridge Road by remaining on Kipling Street between 50th Avenue and Ralston Road and Oak Station by remaining on Kipling Street across Colfax Avenue.

  • route 125 new

    It is proposed to replace route 17 with new route 125 to operate between Federal Center Station and 64th and Quaker. Service would operate via Red Rocks College, Indiana Street, Colfax Avenue, NREL, Youngfield Street, Ward Road, Wheat Ridge/Ward Station, and 64th Avenue. Service would operate on weekdays only, every 30 minutes during rush hours. Service would operate every 30 minutes during midday between Federal Center Station and Red Rocks College, and hourly between Red Rocks College and 64th and Quaker.
