Black-Owned Businesses Along Routes 28 & 43
No Black-owned business list would be complete without a visit to the barber shop. You can choose one of two near Routes 28 or 43: House of Hair is located at 5023 E. 28th Avenue in Denver and Hillside Barber Shop is at 5136 E. 29th Avenue. After getting your hair cut, walk around the corner and check out some art at Urbanity Gallery, located at 2847 Fairfax Street. Then, grab some lunch or dinner nearby, walking about 15 minutes to Gold Star Hot Links at 2878 Colorado Blvd. to grab some smoked hot links to go.
