RTD bus operators recognized by Mobility and Access Coalition

On November 3, RTD staff in Communications and Transit Equity joined community members, businesses, bus operators and public service professionals in Boulder on Nov. 3 to celebrate the Mobility and Access Coalition’s (MAC) 10-year anniversary. The MAC is a local coordinating council that promotes and provides accessible, affordable and equitable transportation options throughout Boulder County.

The capstone of the event was the recognition of individuals who play and instrumental role in helping residents of the county maintain independence and access to opportunities. Community members nominated their favorite operators and staff from various transit organizations for several Mobility Hero Awards.

Three RTD operators were nominated, including Lewis Housley, Roberta Matzke and Timothy Wolcott. Ms. Matzke won the Regional Bus Operator Mobility Hero Award.

RTD is proud of these operators for making lives better through connections.
