RTD encourages Rolling Stones concertgoers to plan for large crowds

Riders should expect longer than usual wait times tomorrow

DENVER (Aug. 9, 2019) – The Regional Transportation District (RTD) urges people who plan to use RTD bus and rail service to get to and from the Rolling Stones concert tomorrow at Broncos Stadium at Mile High to be prepared for long lines and crowded trains and buses. RTD will supplement its regularly planned service as needed and as extra resources are available.

The stadium is easily accessible via RTD service, including the C, E and W light rail lines. Since attendance is expected to exceed 65,000 people, riders should plan for longer wait times, particularly when leaving the stadium after the concert is over. Mobile ticketing is available through RTD’s mobile app, which will be a much easier way to purchase tickets than standing in line at ticket-vending machines. Passengers should refer to posted schedules, but RTD will monitor crowds and provide additional resources based on passenger volume and availability.

The agency thanks riders in advance for their patience. Concertgoers can go to rtd-denver.com or call the RTD Telephone Information Center at 303-299-6000 to check RTD schedules prior to their trip. For up-to-the-minute updates, fans can follow RTD on Twitter @RideRTD.
