RTD to operate University of Colorado A Line on modified schedule Monday evening
In a coordinated effort with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), RTD will offer University of Colorado A Line service on a modified schedule the evening of Monday, Jan. 10, for planned work.
Beginning at 5 p.m. that day and continuing through the end of service, RTD will provide commuter rail service every 30 minutes between Union Station and Denver Airport Station while CDOT crews conduct stormwater infrastructure work for the Central 70 project under the University of Colorado A Line tracks near 40th•Colorado Station. Regular service will resume Tuesday, Jan. 11.
The work will require customer boarding for all rail operations on the southbound track (Track 2) at 38th•Blake, 40th•Colorado and Central Park stations. Customers should plan for an additional 10 minutes of travel time.
While the pedestrian trail under Colorado Boulevard to RTD’s 40th•Colorado Station will remain open, customers are urged to exercise caution as construction equipment and activities may be present.
The Monday service schedule (from 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, through the end of service) is as follows:
- Eastbound trains will depart Union Station every 30 minutes beginning at 5 p.m.
- The regularly scheduled 5:15 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. trains will not be in service
- Westbound trains will depart Denver Airport Station every 30 minutes beginning at 6 p.m.
- The regularly scheduled 6:12 p.m., 6:42 p.m. and 7:12 p.m. trains will not be in service
Masks are required while riding RTD services or on RTD property, including while outside, due to the federal mask mandate for public transportation.
