RTD will offer limited bus shuttle service during annual N Line emergency preparedness exercise
RTD will conduct a joint emergency preparedness exercise with local police, fire and emergency services on the N Line commuter rail overpass at 120th Avenue on Wednesday, July 20, beginning at 7 p.m. and lasting until 10 p.m.
The exercise, which will involve a large presence of emergency vehicles, flashing lights and sirens, may be visible to residents and businesses near the 120th Avenue overpass. Safety exercises are required by federal regulation to be conducted annually on RTD’s commuter rail lines to ensure the safety of RTD customers and the public, and to demonstrate that project personnel and emergency responders can adequately respond to an emergency.
During the simulation, N Line service will be suspended north of Commerce City•72nd Station. RTD will provide limited bus shuttle service between affected stations. Customers are encouraged to plan for delays, sign up for Service Alerts and follow RTD on Twitter @RideRTD.
