DENVER (Sept. 22, 2022) – The Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s R Line service is being supplemented by shuttle buses between Florida and 13th Avenue stations due to a train derailment and subsequent repairs at Sable Boulevard and Exposition Avenue.

Shuttle buses are replacing R Line service at Florida, Aurora Metro Center, 2nd Avenue•Abilene, and 13th Avenue stations. R Line trains are operating as scheduled between Peoria and 13th Avenue stations, as well as between Florida and Lincoln stations. Rail service to the area will be restored as soon as repairs are completed.  

RTD is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the causal factors of the derailment incident that occurred yesterday, Wednesday, Sept. 21.
