RTD is proposing service changes for January 2023 to increase service reliability and improve on-time performance while also supporting RTD’s System Optimization Plan, which aims to increase ridership and address changing travel needs while improving service performance, efficiency, and quality.

Below are details on the proposed service changes, the virtual public meetings, and the other methods for providing your feedback to RTD. We want to hear from you, and we thank you for participating however you can! 

These service changes will take effect on January 8, 2023.

Routes Affected

Proposed Changes for Local/Limited Bus Routes 

Route 10

It is proposed to expand service east to Aurora Plaza (Del Mar Circle) at 60-minute frequencies.

This proposed change represents the first phase of implementing Route 10 as described in RTD’s System Optimization Plan (SOP) but does not contain the increased headway frequency due to lack of resources.

Route 11

It is proposed to perform a running time analysis to increase on-time performance.

Route 12

It is proposed to split Route 12 into the former Route 7 and Route 12, with the northern portion operating as Route 7 between the 38th•Blake and Northglenn•112th rail stations, and the southern portion operating as Route 12 between the Englewood and 38th•Blake stations.

This proposed change represents the first phase of implementing Route 12 as described in RTD’s SOP but does not contain separate branches and increased headway frequency due to lack of resources.

Route 15

Route 15L

Route 30

It is proposed to expand the weekday hours of service to operate between 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. for both the north and southbound schedules.

It is also proposed to add a southbound schedule to Sundays to provide bi-directional service.

The proposed changes represent the first phase of implementing Route 30 as described in RTD’s System Optimization Plan (SOP) but does not contain the reassignment of branches or increased headway frequency due to lack of resources.

Route 44

Route 76

It is proposed to reroute Route 76 in the area between I-70 and the Olde Town Arvada Station. This will add service to stop numbers 21428 and 22763 while maintaining service at all existing route stops.

Route 88

It is proposed to adjust the meet times at Commerce City•72nd Station for better connections to the N Line on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Route 93L

It is proposed to adjust the meet times at Thornton Crossroads•104th Station for better connections to the N Line on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Route 120L

It is proposed to remove the Adams County Government Center stop from the Saturday route as the facility is closed on weekends.

Route 130

It is proposed to adjust the current weekday schedule to increase on-time performance.

Route 228

It is proposed to extend the northern portion of the route from the Kestrel neighborhood to both Forest Park Drive/Arapahoe Ave, as well as Diamond Circle/Aspen Ridge Drive (Sister Carmen Foodbank/Walmart area).

AM and PM peak service would operate hourly trips to Forest Park Drive, while mid-day service would operate hourly trips to Diamond Circle/Aspen Ridge Drive. Saturday and Sunday the route would operate hourly and serve Diamond Circle/Aspen Ridge Drive only.

It is also proposed to adjust the route name to reflect the new terminal locations within Lafayette at Forest Park Drive/Arapahoe and Diamond Circle/Aspen Ridge Drive.

H Line

L Line

R Line
