RTD customers share messages of thanks for Transit Employee Appreciation Day
In honor of Transit Employee Appreciation Day, customers and members of the public were invited this week to share a message of thanks for a bus or rail operator, or to express gratitude to any RTD employee, department or service. They responded in force!
Thank you for getting me safely to and from work, the grocery store, yoga, events downtown and everything in between! You all do such a great job, and I appreciate all you do to keep us safe and on the move.
Thank you so much for always taking care of us!! Getting us there on time and letting us know when something is amiss … like the A Line always being in the way. We appreciate you! Gena & Alex on the 6:13!
All of the FF1 and FF2 drivers are awesome. They are always so nice and helpful. They drive efficiently and get riders safe all the way to Boulder. They deserve lots of appreciation!
Thank you, everyone at RTD, for all that you do to make public transit GO in the Denver metro region!
I have so many wonderful drivers that I enjoy spending time with and chatting! Among them are Diedre, Taylor, Patricia, Erma, Alex, Todd, Jim … I’m sure there are so many more, but I really enjoy getting to know you guys. Thank you so much for your sacrifice driving me all around! You guys truly are unsung heroes and are awesome!
Thanks so much for getting me to all the places I need to go – on time, safely and comfortably.
Hello! Thank you so much for driving the bus! I am so grateful for you - your work allows me to get to and from work without worrying about traffic or parking. Thank you! Erika
Thanks for waiting for folks running to their stop!
Thank you so much for getting me to and from work safely and efficiently. I appreciate you!!!! <3
Thank you to the drivers of the 402L in the morning and evening for always being in service and on time. I know that I can always rely on the 402L to get me to and from the Mineral station.
Thank you for all that you do daily to help people get to where they need to go! I know it can be tough a lot of days, and you may feel underappreciated, but I thank you for your service!
I want to send a shout out to the light rail and train operators. You're isolated from us travelers for the most part, but I see you and appreciate your work. Many thanks!
The FF1 drivers are always polite and friendly. Thy are the reason I'm able to commute between Denver and Boulder every day and I greatly appreciate their dedication!
Dear 15 and 15L Operators, You drive your bus on the highest service corridor in the city. For this alone I am grateful to you and RTD. But as you know, Colfax is not always conducive to high service. There are the three C's of stress: congestion, construction, and crazy. The crazy comes in many colors: the crazy pedestrians (I've been one myself) who decide a mid-block run across all 6 lanes in mid-rush hour or middle of the night is a good idea; the crazy passengers who use your bus as a place to play or prune their nails; the crazy crowds waiting outside venues or get downtown and have no regard for the space they occupy; and the crazy cars doing random u-turns, sudden stops, or veering madly across multiple lanes. You navigate the Cs with consistent calm and operate at 5-15 minute headways throughout the day and into the night. Thank you! Dana
Thank you so much for keeping the buses in good working order and getting me to my destinations safely. I'd much rather be on a bus than in a car, where I feel unsafe. Kindest regards, Luchia Brown Denver
Thank you so much to all the transit operators for being so reliable and dedicated to moving people in our region. As a daily passenger on Route 6, I appreciate the cheerful smile and greeting of my bus driver each day as he patiently navigates through traffic to ferry us to work and back. Thank you so much!!
Dear Transit Drivers for the BOUND route. I wanted to extend my greatest thanks since this route is one that I use almost everyday and I've seen several drivers on this route be friendly and kind to those riding. It's a crucial route for many and connects myself and others to grocery stores, doctors offices, human services, and more. It's also one of the more frequently routes in Boulder making it more reliable to get around town. Thank you for everything you do!
Thanks for driving so I don't have to. I appreciate your patience when I get my bike on and off the bus and when you are out there driving with less attentive drivers.
Thanks for all your hard work ensuring that the buses and trains I take are clean and comfortable!
