RTD’s code of conduct ensures everyone has a secure and welcoming experience across any vehicle, stop, and station

RTD bus and rail operators keep our communities moving every day. RTD’sRespect the Ride Code of Conduct means being courteous to fellow customers and considerate of RTD employeeswho are working to ensure everyone makes safe and enjoyable connections. 

Respecting one another and transit operators is more thanbeing polite – it’s essential for creating a positive environment for everyone.

How to help

  • Treat operators with kindness. Stay patient during delays, follow posted rules, and treat transit employees and others with kindness.
  • Respect others. Use earbuds or headphones when listening to music to avoid distracting or disturbing others. 
  • Respect spaces.Follow fare rules and remain in designated areas, such as being mindful to stay behind yellow lines when waiting for vehicles for your safety. 

Report unsafe behavior

In the event of any unsafe or unwanted behavior, you can help support a convenient and secure experience for everyone.

You can make a report by:

  • Making a report here
  • In case of emergency, always call 911
