Installation of vinyl seats on light rail continues
In 1994, when light rail was introduced to the metro area, soft, cloth seats were seen as the premium. Fast forward to today and it is time to update the look and upholstery on the fleet. RTD is in the process of installing new vinyl seats on light rail that are easy to clean, but still cushioned and comfortable and also create a welcoming transit environment. Be on the lookout for the new seats on light rail when you are riding the system.
