Customer Experience

Say thanks: Celebrating RTD employees on National Transit Employee Appreciation Day

Every day, thousands of customers rely on RTD not just to get somewhere, but to get ahead. Public transit offers a lifeline to opportunity, opening doors to good jobs, quality education, and the communities where people feel at home. On March 18, join RTD in celebrating National Transit Employee Appreciation Day by thanking the more than 3,100 employees who keep the region moving safely and reliably.

Behind every trip is a dedicated team serving customers across RTD's system. Operators greet customers each morning. Mechanics work behind the scenes to keep vehicles road-worthy. Transit Police ensure a safe travel environment. Dispatchers and customer service teams keep communication flowing, supporting customers when they need it most. Together, they make every journey possible.

RTD encourages customers and community members to share their appreciation by submitting positive comments or stories online about a transit employee who made a difference. Here are some of the messages shared about how RTD employees have made an impact:

"Thank you so much for all your hard work!!! The bus system has changed my life" — Customer #1
"I am so grateful for our bus drivers!! it feels extra special when you get to look forward to seeing the person who helps you get to work!!" — Customer #2
"Thank you all for being there for all of us who need transportation wouldn't know what I would do without you guys thank you" — Customer #3

Customers can also show their appreciation on social media by sharing a photo from their commute and thanking a transit employee using #TransitEmployeeAppreciationDay.

RTD recognizes exceptional bus and rail operators who go above and beyond every month. On March 18, the agency encourages the entire community to take a moment to recognize the people behind the service who make lives better through connections 24/7, 365.
