From huge parades and festivals to concerts and world-famous Broadway productions, there’s something for everyone looking to make the most of that trademark Colorado sunshine.

Sports
It’s been a rough spring for Denver sports. The Colorado Avalanche were knocked out of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in seven games by the Dallas Stars, thanks to a Mikko Rantanen revenge tour. The Denver Nuggets fired championship-winning coach Michael Malone just before the NBA Playoffs began, making it to the second round and just coming short of beating the Oklahoma City Thunder, thus eliminating them from the playoffs. And then there’s the Colorado Rockies, who now hold the official record for worst start in MLB history and are on track to earn the title of having the worst win/loss record in professional baseball history, a record held since 1899 by the Cleveland Spiders. At this point, the Rockies should allow a local Little League team to take the field in their place. They might actually win a few more games that way.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom for Denver sports fans, as football season is right around the corner, and there hasn’t been this much hype for the Denver Broncos since Lord Peyton Manning led the ponies to the promised land in 2016. Coming off a rookie season that had him lead the Broncos to their first playoff appearance since 2015, Bo Nix has everyone in Colorado Bo-lieving in him to take us back, this time with eyes set on a much deeper playoff run. The Broncos used this offseason to load up on both offensive and defensive weapons, including drafting the third-ranked cornerback in the NFL Draft class this year, Jahdae Barron, and getting an absolute gem of a running back in RJ Harvey in the second round. For the first time in nearly a decade, Empower Field at Mile High Stadium isn’t a pit of despair (unlike Coors Field is), but instead a beacon of hope and optimism that the Broncos are finally back.
In Boulder, Deion Sanders enters his third year as the Buffaloes’ head coach. Hot off the best year the Buffs have had since 2016 with a 9-4 record and earning a Heisman Trophy through two-way wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter, the Buffs go into 2025 with high hopes and great momentum. However, Travis Hunter and star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, as well as star wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, have all moved on to the NFL, leaving Coach Prime with more questions than answers. Even still, it’s a good time to be a Buffs fan.
Wrestling fans are going to be able to get in on the action as well. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) finally visits the Mile High City with Fyter Fest. Catch AEW’s biggest stars such as Kenny Omega, MJF, Mercedes Moné and more put it all on the line in one of AEW’s marquee events of the year.
Take RTD to the following sporting events and get ready to cheer on Denver’s finest athletes… and the Colorado Rockies.

Coldplay - "Viva La Vida"
For decades, the British pop rock band Coldplay has captivated audiences globally, selling over 100 million albums across the world. They bring their "Music Of The Spheres" tour to a sold-out Empower Field at Mile High on June 10.
Chris Stapleton - "Starting Over"
From country radio to truck commercials, you've probably heard of Chris Stapleton by now. One of country music's most popular artists, Stapleton has amassed a dedicated following with his powerful voice. Fans can catch him for two nights at the Ball Arena Aug. 22-23.
Benson Boone - "Slow It Down"
Pop sensation Benson Boone has absolutely exploded onto the Billboard Top 40 charts, garnering millions upon millions of streams and YouTube views. Armed with an incredible vocal range and musicianship, Boone is ready to give Denverites a night of pure vibes. Catch him at the Ball Arena Sept. 22.
Bring Me The Horizon - "Sleepwalking"
When it comes to the metalcore scene, there is nobody bigger than Britain's Bring Me The Horizon. The band, aptly named after a quote from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, have been at it for over two decades, and have been one of only a select few metalcore bands to be nominated for a GRAMMY. Now, they're doing something that's never been done before in the United States: an all-metalcore arena tour with special guests Motionless In White, The Plot In You and Amira Elfeky, and it'll stop at the Ball Arena Sept. 29.
Earth, Wind & Fire - "September"
Odds are if you are reading this, you probably already know the words to this song by heart. Well, grab tickets to see Earth, Wind & Fire live at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre June 14 to sing it at the top of your lungs. We'll just pretend it's September.
Breaking Benjamin - "The Diary of Jane
Breaking Benjamin is undoubtedly one of the most influential and iconic hard rock bands of the 2000s. From Top 40 radio play worldwide to sold out stadiums to being featured in virtually every digital medium out there, Breaking Benjamin sustained relevance for decades and decades. Now, they're teaming up with fellow hard rock icons Three Days Grace for one unforgettable night at Fiddler's Green Amphitheater Sept. 25. EDITOR'S NOTE: I will be there and screaming the lyrics to The Diary of Jane at the top of my lungs.
Tracy Lawrence - "Texas Torndao"
If there was ever a Mount Rushmore of country music, Tracy Lawrence would be a dark horse to be enshrined on it. Lawrence was one of country's biggest artists in the 1990s and early 2000s, and he's still touring and kickin'. Head to the Paramount Theatre June 27 to watch him perform his classics live.
Sunny Day Real Estate - "Seven"
"I'm not emo, okay?" "Then why are you listening to Sunny Day Real Estate?" That is an except from the "Goth Kids 3: Dawn Of The Posers" episode from South Park, and it couldn't be more true. Sunny Day Real Estate was one of the pioneers of the emo genre back in the 1990s and early 2000s. Their influence on the genre can be heard even today in modern pop punk and alternative. Grab the eyeliner and head up to the Boulder Theater Sept. 19 to mosh, cry and scream with the band live.
