RTD will perform necessary maintenance that will affect D Line light rail service beginning late Monday, Sept. 30, and extend through Thursday, Sept. 3. Crews will replace overhead wires that provide power to the light rail trains.

Final D Line departures on Monday, Sept. 30, will be as follows, with some final trips of the night canceled in each direction (bus shuttle service is unavailable on Monday):

  • Littleton·Mineral Station – 10:12 p.m.
  • 18th•Stout Station – 10:57 p.m.

Crews will replace overhead wires near Evans Station Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 1-3. Bus shuttles will replace D Line service between Englewood and I-25·Broadway stations. Boarding for bus shuttles will take place at the following station locations:

  1. Englewood Station – Gate A
  2. Evans Station – Gate C
  3. I-25·Broadway Station – Gate A2

During the work, D Line trains will not operate north of Englewood Station. Customers are encouraged to utilize the H Line, E Line (to Union Station) or bus Route 0 to travel between I-25·Broadway Station and downtown.

Trains will operate scheduled service between Littleton·Mineral and Englewood. Full service returns to the D Line on Friday, Oct. 4.

Customers whose trips are impacted by the temporary rail disruption are encouraged to use RTD’s Next Ride web app to plan a trip and see bus and train locations in real time.

Temporary speed restrictions at isolated sections of the rail network are currently causing moderate end-to-end trip delays for customers. Customers should anticipate additional delays during the wire replacement. Work is temperature and weather dependent.

RTD appreciates customers patience as the agency works to make lives better through connections.
