RTD updates Access-on-Demand service

RTD is updating its Access-on-Demand program that provides curb-to-curb service for paratransit customers. Changes take effect January 2026 and include establishing a $4.50 standard fare or $2.25 fare for LiVE eligible customers per trip. Access-on-Demand services will operate 22 hours daily from 3:30 a.m.to 1:30 a.m. Read more about the program updates.

RTD FreeRide resumes full service on 16th Street

It is back! Beginning Sunday, Oct. 5, the 16th Street FreeRide will resume full service between Denver Union Station and Civic Center Station. The return of the shuttle to the full length of 16th Street follows a grand opening celebration hosted by the Downtown Denver Partnership on Saturday, Oct. 4, to officially reopen the 1.25-mile corridor. On-time light rail performance reaches 90% in less than a year

RTD’s light rail service reached a 90% on-time performance rate in July 2025 compared with 59.9% in August 2024. Over the last 18 months, RTD has addressed several rail maintenance projects to protect the long-term integrity of the rail network and ensure previous investments remain intact in the future.
