New Transit Center in East Boulder

On August 16, 2015, this brand new transit center opened for service. Boulder Junction provides an east Boulder end destination for RTD services, connecting with the local bus service in Boulder, as well as access to the multiple Regional and Express routes available from the six Park-n-Rides along US 36.

Boulder Junction is a 45,655 square foot underground bus facility that has six bus bays, a fully staffed ticket sales/information booth and is patrolled by RTD security 24-hours a day.

The underground bus facility is located beneath the apartments and parking garage, with access via a pedestrian breezeway, called the Paseo, from Pearl Parkway. Vehicles can access the facility by way of Junction Place. Additionally, pedestrians and bikes may access the development from the new Goose Creek Bridge, which connects to businesses on 33rd Street across the creek.

Depot Square developer Pedersen Development also rehabilitated the historic Boulder Train Depot, which is now a restaurant.
