RTD’s Board approves contracts for downtown rail intersection reconstruction and project management support

RTD announced Tuesday the selection of Krische Construction, Inc. (KCI) to carry out a full-depth reconstruction of five rail intersections in downtown Denver this summer. Additionally, RTD selected Triunity, Inc. for project management support and consultant services to assist the agency’s rail reconstruction efforts. The RTD Board authorized the agency to enter into the two contracts.

Earlier this year, RTD sought proposals from qualified firms for construction and project support to undertake a multi-phased project to reconstruct miles of light rail track in downtown Denver.

The project contractor, KCI, and project management support consultant, Triunity, Inc., will function as extensions of RTD by conducting project activities and supplementing specialized expertise throughout the project’s duration. Read the full story.

RTD managers to spend time riding transit as part of six-month pilot program geared toward assisting customers

The RTD Communications and Engagement management team is kicking off a pilot program geared toward assisting customers, answering questions about the agency's services, and gathering valuable feedback. Starting in April, working in teams of two, managers will ride buses and trains, and visit bus stops and stations, to directly engage with customers and gain insight on how to improve their experience. RTD to host open house events ahead of rail projects

The public is invited to attend upcoming open houses to learn about two major rail projects planned this summer. The RTD team will share information about phase one of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction project and the Coping Panels project along the I-25 corridor. RTD team members can help customers identify alternative routes and assist individuals with signing up for service alerts. Attend an open house.
