18 March 2022RTD Board of Directors authorizes new contract for union employees
RTD's Board of Directors today authorized the agency’s General Manager and CEO Debra A. Johnson, to enter into a successor three-year collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that raises wages for all of the agency’s union-represented employees more than 25% over the period of the contract, starting with a 16% or higher increase in the first year and 4% in each subsequent year.

11 March 2022Masks remain required on RTD services through April 18
RTD continues to require its customers to wear a mask on RTD vehicles, in agency facilities and while waiting for services. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), following a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), announced yesterday that it had extended its mask mandate on public transportation for an additional month, until April 18.

Eighty-one percent of RTD's fixed-route bus customers, 85% of rail customers and 91% of paratransit customers are satisfied with the agency’s service. Fare price is the most important element of service to bus and rail customers – and a factor drawing the lowest levels of satisfaction. And 86% of community members believe the agency brings value to the Denver metro region – but only 34% said they find RTD valuable to themselves.

28 February 2022RTD to sound train horns along N Line March 3-4
From Sunday night through Thursday morning, Feb. 27-March 3, RTD will conduct work on the signal technology at the E. 124th Avenue crossing, adjacent to the Eastlake•124th Station for the N Line. The work will take place during off-peak hours. From Thursday night through Friday morning, March 3-4, crews will validate the technology using a test train through the crossing. Per federal requirement, train horns will sound through the crossing during this part of the work.
