28 February 2022RTD to sound train horns along N Line March 3-4
From Sunday night through Thursday morning, Feb. 27-March 3, RTD will conduct work on the signal technology at the E. 124th Avenue crossing, adjacent to the Eastlake•124th Station for the N Line. The work will take place during off-peak hours. From Thursday night through Friday morning, March 3-4, crews will validate the technology using a test train through the crossing. Per federal requirement, train horns will sound through the crossing during this part of the work.

Think back to any time inclement weather called for putting chains on a car or truck: Chances are, the experience called for kneeling beside a tire in frigid weather on the side of the road. Now, imagine doing this work on a larger vehicle like a bus, while traffic whizzes by and customers peer curiously from behind a window.
