February 2026: William Gonglach

February’s Operator of the Month is William Gonglach from East Metro Division! Gonglach was chosen for his hard work to reunite a customer’s laptop after it was left on his bus. He found the item and kept it safe with him until he was able to meet the customer back at Union Station to return it.

How long have you driven for RTD, and have you always been a bus driver?

16 years all as a bus driver.

What were you in a previous life?

A pastor for a small church and worked for the City of Aurora Water Department.

What do you like best about your job?

Driving through different neighborhoods and looking at the scenery.

If you could listen to music while working, what type?

Light classical or jazz.

If you could deck out your bus, what style?

Reclining seats for all the passengers.

If you could change your uniform color, what color?

No change. I like the black.

What type of service would you drive if given the choice, and/or your favorite service to drive or operate?
