E-bike share program expands connections and mobility in Superior

RTD is proud to support a new regional e-bike share program aimed at making traveling around Superior easier and offering community members another convenient way to connect with transit and destinations across the northwest Front Range.

The Town of Superior will launch its new BCycle e-bike share program Sunday, Oct. 4, during the Superior Mural Festival & Fall Market. RTD District O Director Lynn Guissinger will join community and project partners for a ribbon cutting, highlighting how e-bikes can expand access to public transportation and strengthen mobility across the region.

The public is invited to celebrate the launch and try the new service from 1 to 4 p.m. at Superior Commons Park. After brief remarks, attendees can learn more about the program and take a free introductory ride. Participants must be at least 18 years old and are encouraged to wear a helmet.

For RTD customers, e-bike share can provide a convenient first-and-final-mile option to bridge the gap between a customer's transit stop and destination. Superior currently hosts e-bike stations at Founders Park, Community Park, Superior Civic Space and Superior Commons Park. A future e-bike station planned at RTD’s US 36 & McCaslin Station could also strengthen that connection and give customers another option for continuing their trips after arriving at the station.

The program is funded through $1.5 million Community Accelerated Mobility Project (CAMP) Grant from the Colorado Energy Office and represents a growing regional partnership. The network connects Superior with systems in Boulder and Longmont. Westminster is expected to join later this year, and more cities are expected to join in 2027.
