RTD begins preparations for additional G Line service in June

Pauline Haberman

As RTD gets ready to operate additional G Line service as part of the June 7, 2026 service changes, the agency's Concessionaire partner, Denver Transit Operators will operate training trains that will not be in service.

Customers may observe the out of service trains that say, "Not in Service" stopping at stations along the G Line but not opening the train doors. Regularly scheduled service will continue as normal during the testing, which will begin Monday, April 20, and continue until Sunday, June 7.

To better match demand and improve reliability during the busiest travel periods. G Line service frequencies will be restored in June to 15 minutes on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Customers are encouraged to visit Service Changes for a complete list of updates including seasonal adjustments and service reductions for select routes.
