
RTD will provide bus shuttle service June 28 between Denver Airport and 61st-Peña stations during A Line maintenance project
DENVER (June 23, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)will conduct essential maintenance on the A Line on Sunday, June 28, between approximately 5:25 a.m. and 1:12 p.m. During this period, commuter rail service will be suspended between Denver Airport and 61st-Peña stations. Customers are advised to plan accordingly and allow additional travel time to connect to and from the airport.
Regular A Line service will continue to operate between Denver Union Station and 61st-Peña Station.
The scheduled work will improve the commuter rail line’s overall reliability and safety. Bus shuttles will support A Line service between the two impacted stations and will not mirror regular train schedules.
Bus shuttle boarding locations are as follows:
- Denver Airport Station: Arrivals at Gate 6; Departures at Gate 7
Located at the DEN Transit Center, Level 1, adjacent to the Westin Denver International Airport Hotel. The DEN Transit Center can be accessed at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal by exiting through the glass doors and taking the escalator or elevator down to ground level.
- 61st-Peña Station: In front of the station
Rail service to the airport will resume following completion of the work. The first train with continuous service to the Denver Airport Station is scheduled to depart Union Station at approximately 12:30 p.m. The first train with continuous service to Union Station is expected to depart Denver Airport Station at approximately 1:27 p.m.
