
RTD will provide bus shuttles Sept. 12 and 13 to portions of the A Line during maintenance project
Customers should plan ahead and prepare for delays while crews perform A Line track maintenance
DENVER (Sept. 8, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)will conduct essential maintenance on the A Line on Saturday, Sept. 12, from approximately 3 a.m.-3 p.m. between Peoria and Denver Airport stations, and on Sunday, Sept. 13, from approximately 5:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. between Denver Union and Central Park stations. Customers are advised to plan accordingly and allow additional travel time to connect to and from the airport.
Regular A Line service will continue to operate between Denver Union and Peoria stations on Saturday, and from Central Park to Denver Airport stations on Sunday.
The scheduled work will improve the commuter rail line’s overall reliability and safety. Bus shuttles will support A Line service between impacted stations and will not mirror regular train schedules.
Bus shuttle boarding locations are as follows:
Saturday, Sept. 12 from approximately 3 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Peoria Station: Gate E
- 40th Ave & Airport Blvd-Gateway Park: Gate A
- 61st-Peña: In front of station
- Denver Airport Station: Arrivals at Gate 6; Departures at Gate 7
- Located at the DEN Transit Center, Level 1, adjacent to the Westin Denver International Airport Hotel. The DEN Transit Center can be accessed at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal by exiting through the glass doors and taking the escalator or elevator down to ground level.
Sunday, Sept. 13 from approximately 5:30-11:30 a.m.

- 40th-Colorado: Gate B
- Central Park: Gate B3
Rail service to the airport will resume following completion of the work. On Saturday, the first train with continuous service to the Denver Airport Station is scheduled to depart Union Station at 2:15 p.m. The first train with continuous service to Union Station is expected to depart Denver Airport Station at 3:12 p.m. On Sunday, the first train with continuous service to the Denver Airport Station is scheduled to depart Union Station at 10:30 a.m. The first train with continuous service to Union Station is expected to depart Denver Airport Station at 9:57 a.m.
