Safety at your fingertips with new NextRide mobile app
Designed for customers, NextRide brings intuitive trip planning and enhanced security reporting together
RTD’s newly launched NextRide mobile app brings more than streamlined trip planningand fare payments – it makes reporting security concerns convenient and simple.
A standout feature of NextRide is the “Security” section thatallows customers to report unwanted activity discreetly, anonymously, and directly with Transit Police dispatchers – available around the clock, year-round. The new mobile app also means customers no longer need to switch to other apps, such as MyRide or Transit Watch, to plan a trip or contact public safety dispatchers. The integrated app provides access to an array of quick and seamless transit tools, including contacting Customer Care or viewing vehicles in real time.
While most customers travel across RTD’s system without incident, with approximately one security-related call for every 2,445 customers as of June 2026, the mobile app empowers customers to flag suspicious activity with just a few taps. In addition to NextRide, Transit Police dispatchers can still be contacted by phone at 303.299.2911 or text at 303.434.9100. In the event of an emergency, customers should call 911.
In‑app security reporting available in NextRide helps ensure a welcoming transit environment for every customer. Download NextRide at the Google Play store or Apple App stores to take advantage of all the transit tools at your fingertips for a smoother ride at every step of your journey.
