Construction crews begin panel installation at Kalamath Street crossing

This week’s Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project update highlights RTD’s installation of 32 crossing panels at the Kalamath Street crossing. These prefabricated panels replace traditional track ties and ballast with a durable, low-profile concrete design. The system allows for faster installation, better alignment, and a smoother, safer experience for trains, vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. Work remains on schedule.
