Proposed May 2023 Service Changes

In addition to the effects COVID-19 has had on RTD’s system and ridership, activities such as traffic patterns, economic factors, and customer feedback affect the transit system every day. RTD continuously evaluates service levels and proposes service changes to maximize resources and increase system efficiencies.

The service changes discussed herein are proposed to take effect May 28, 2023 and are designed to support RTD’s System Optimization Plan which aims to increase ridership opportunities and address changing travel needs while improving service performance, efficiency, and quality.

There will be three (3) virtual public meetings held where RTD will present the details of the proposed changes and provide a platform for public feedback. Click below for details on the proposed changes, as well as the details on the virtual public meetings and other ways to submit your feedback.

Bus Stop Consolidation

As traffic continues to worsen across the Denver metro area, RTD makes changes to our bus and rail system that are necessary in order to provide the most productive and efficient transit system for our passengers and the communities we serve. We have started consolidating bus stops that are underutilized or bus stops that are within close proximity to other bus stops.
