Meet Kristine McPherson

Kristine joined the Access-a-Ride team after retiring from an 11-year career at the Department of Health and Human Services. She began working part-time as a Reservationist at the Access-a-Ride Call Center about a year ago, where she books rides for both Access-a-Ride and Access-a-Cab customers.

Due to her loss of vision, she lost her driving privileges in 2001 and became an Access-a-Ride customer in 2013. She is an active person who enjoys getting out for work, shopping, and traveling when she can. She says she can meet these challenges because of the transportation assistance she receives from RTD Access-a-Ride services.

Kristine has tips for customers to make their Access-a-Ride trips seamless based on her own experience. “I have found, when making my reservations, I fully listen to all verified information read back to me to make sure it is correct, which makes my transportation dependable. I also have found that if I am ready and prepared to go when the transportation arrives, I will have a successful trip.”

Kristine is shining example of the many caring employees who serve RTD Access-a-Ride customers.
