RTD celebrates 22 bus operators graduating from training program

RTD is celebrating 22 individuals who have graduated from RTD’s training program as bus operators. The 12-week program familiarizes trainees with protocols, procedures, and equipment, and provides hands-on experience with route familiarization and night driving.

Candidates hired as bus operators receive a $4,000 signing bonus and paid training—including CDL training and guidance through the permit process for new bus operators. Bus operators start at $25.96 per hour, and the role offers individuals a career path to retire from or pursue as a second career.
