RTD customers should plan for delays this evening as the snow continues

RTD is experiencing delays in its service – 10-30 minutes for bus and 5-15 minutes for rail as of 4 p.m. – due to weather. Customers should expect slower travel times as train and bus operators continue to navigate icy conditions from the snowstorm. Due to adverse road conditions and closures, Route 9 is detoured, and Routes CV, NB and EV are suspended. Customers should sign up for Service Alerts for current schedule information

While RTD’s goal is to deliver customers safely to their destinations, travel on snowy days might take a little longer. Bus schedules can be affected by the same road conditions the public encounters while driving their own vehicles, including wet, icy and slushy roads and traffic delays. Rail vehicles can be delayed because of the need for slower speeds around train stations and through crossings.Access-a-Ride customers should expect delays and consider rescheduling non-essential trips.

RTD customers should plan ahead, stay informed and prepare to be outside by dressing appropriately for extreme temperatures. With more than 9,700 bus stops in the RTD system, neighbors near bus stops can assist RTD by clearing sidewalks leading up to stops. To access the most current information:
