RTD prepared to support Denver Broncos fans attending Aug. 18 game with service and connections

Tara Broghammer

RTD is prepared to support an increase in ridership during the Broncos preseason game on Aug. 18 at Empower Field at Mile High. The stadium’s close proximity to a number of bus stops and rail stations makes public transit a safe and ideal way for football fans to travel to and from the game.

Broncos fans are encouraged to use the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool and simply type “Broncos” in the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to Empower Field. The “Broncos” navigation feature will list train lines and bus routes, along with departure times from the user’s current location.

Rail Service
Before and after the Broncos preseason game, RTD will offer regularly scheduled service on the D, E, H and W lines, which all currently serve Empower Field at Mile High Station, as well as A, B, G and N lines which provide service to Denver Union Station.

Parking

RTD’s Park-n-Rides are available to support easy and convenient access to reach the concert by public transit. A full list of Park-n-Rides in the metro area is available online.

Planned Maintenance

Light rail trains in the Southeast and Southwest corridors will operate under a regular schedule, however the currently underway temporary speed restrictions in place along isolated segments of the network are causing some delays. Additionally, the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project has all D and H line trains temporarily rerouted to Denver Union Station.
