RTD provides service and connections to Saturday’s Broncos vs. Bills divisional round matchup, Nuggets vs. Wizards game
DENVER (Jan. 15, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is expecting a surge in ridership on buses and trains as the Broncos host the Buffalo Bills in a divisional round matchup at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan.17, at Empower Field at Mile High, and Denver Nuggets host the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m. at Ball Arena.
The close proximity of the sports venues to several bus stops and rail stations makes public transit a safe and convenient way for fans to attend the games. With numerous events planned in downtown Saturday, additional Transit Police and security personnel will be deployed across the system, with an increased presence at bus stops and rail stations near Empower Field at Mile High and Ball Arena.
Broncos and Nuggets fans are encouraged to use the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool and simply type “Broncos” or “Nuggets” in the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to Empower Field or Ball Arena. The navigation feature will list all train lines and bus routes serving the chosen sports venue, along with departure times from the user’s current location.
