RTD provides service and connections to Sept. 29 Broncos vs. Bengals game

DENVER (Sept. 26, 2025) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD) expects an increase in ridership as the Broncos host the Bengals Monday night, Sept. 29, at Empower Field at Mile High. The stadium’s close proximity to several bus stops and rail stations makes public transit a safe and convenient way for football fans to attend the game.

Broncos fans are encouraged to use the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool and simply type “Broncos” in the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to Empower Field. The “Broncos” navigation feature will list all train lines and bus routes serving the stadium, along with future departure times from the user’s current location.

Rail Service
Before and after the game, RTD will offer regularly scheduled service on the D, E and W lines, which serve Empower Field at Mile High Station, as well as A, B, G, and N lines, which provide service to Denver Union Station. Last trains of the evening will depart at the following locations and times:

Empower Field at Mile High Station

D Line northbound: 11:34 p.m. (for customers connecting to other services at Union Station)

D Line southbound: 11:53 p.m.

E Line northbound: 11:56 p.m. (for customers connecting to other services at Union Station)

E Line southbound: 12:01 a.m.

W Line eastbound: 11:59 p.m. (for customers connecting to other services at Union Station)

W Line westbound: 11:57 p.m.

Decatur•Federal Station

W Line westbound: 12:02 a.m.

Denver Union Station

A Line: 12:30 a.m.

B Line: 11:09 p.m.

G Line: 12:01 a.m.

N Line: 10:56 p.m.

Special Light Rail Service Note

  • The D line is temporarily serving Empower Field at Mile High Station and Denver Union Station during the current phase of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project.
  • H Line customers will need to transfer to/from the E Line at Southmoor Station.

Customers are encouraged to be patient and prepare for large crowds, especially following the game.

Bus Service
Several local bus routes are available to accommodate customers attending the football game. Bus routes operating in the vicinity of Empower Field at Mile High include Route 30 (South Federal Boulevard) and Route 31 (North Federal Boulevard). Additionally, Routes 1, 15L, 16 and 31 all serve the Decatur•Federal Station.

Customers looking for an easy transfer to the D, E or W lines at Denver Union Station can use the Flatiron Flyer and local Routes 0, 9, 10, 15, 20 and 32.

Parking

RTD’s Park-n-Rides provide easy and convenient access to reach the game by public transit. A full list of Park-n-Rides across the metro area is available online.

Helpful Tips

  • Be patient and prepare for large crowds, including on platforms, trains and buses
  • Sign up for Service Alerts
  • Skip the line at ticket vending machines – download the RTD MyRide app and purchase a Day Pass online
  • Auraria West Station will be closed 4-11 p.m. to account for the large increase in crowds. Please use the nearby Empower Field at Mile High Station.
  • Check the RTD website before you travel for real-time schedules and plan your trip using the “Broncos” special destination feature
  • Download the RTD Transit Watch App to report any personal safety or security issues. The app is available for iOS and Android devices in English and Spanish.
