Celebrating the U.S. 250th and Colorado 150th Anniversaries
RTD is partnering with History Colorado Center to commemorate two significant anniversaries in 2026. The United States marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 and Colorado marks the 150th anniversary of statehood on August 1, 1876.
These two significant milestones are being recognized all year long through exhibitions, events, and signature programming offered at the History Colorado Center, including insightful exhibitions about our shared history and culture. RTD is excited to honor the commemoration with custom on-vehicle artwork that can be found on buses and trains for all to see and celebrate with us in the communities we serve.
