
Commuter Rail
Building a Better RTDRTD’s commuter rail services operate 66 vehicles on more than 54 miles of track connecting 27 stations from downtown Denver to locations throughout the district. RTD currently operates four commuter rail routes.
The following infrastructure investments will be made in 2026 to renew and enhance our commuter rail system. These investments include improvements and repairs to pedestrian bridges and platforms, noise mitigations, access control and landscape improvements.
Structure Investments
BNSF Fuel Crossing on B Line (Park Avenue West and Globeville Road)
Construction activities that will allow train horn noise reduction at the BNSF Fuel Crossing on the B and G lines
48th & Brighton•National Western Center Station Center Station
Installing a new pedestrian bridge at the 48th & Brighton•National Western Center Station.
Denver Union Station
Installing a small building to store diesel exhaust fluid on the Amtrak platform.
