Systemwide
Building a Better RTDSystemwide, RTD serves 40 municipalities in six counties plus two city/county jurisdictions over a 2,345 square mile service area. RTD has seven administrative facilities in the district. At the systemwide level, RTD infrastructure investments include anything that is not linked to a specific rail line or bus route. Examples include ticket vending machines, upgrades to administrative facilities or projects at stations that service both the rail and bus system.
The following systemwide infrastructure investments will be made in 2026 to sustain and enhance our overall system. The projects include replacing ticket vending machines and evaluating Park-n-Rides to identify opportunities for future joint development.
