A portion of RTD's A Line trains will be single-tracked between 38th•Blake and Central Park stations beginning at 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 and continuing through the end of service on Aug. 23 to accommodate concrete repairs at 40th•Colorado Station. Service and schedules will be adjusted while crews conduct the repairs. Customers will be directed to board on Track 2 at affected stations.- News Release17 August 2023

16 August 2023RTD to extend temporary alternative parking during third party work at I-25•Broadway Station
RTD will continue to offer temporary parking access for I-25•Broadway Station customers through Tuesday, Aug. 22 while the city of Denver performs necessary sanitary sewer work in the north RTD parking. The work will not affect the south parking lot.

Bus operator John Saenz used his best judgment last month during an afternoon storm, when a dog frightened by the thunder headed straight for his bus. He successfully brought the animal back to its owner after a two-hour ride.

On Saturday, Aug. 5, RTD’s finest light rail operators and mechanics put their skills to the test in the 2023 RTD Light Rail Rodeo. The event returned after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and kicked off the annual ro(a)deo season for the agency. For some operators and mechanics, it was a welcome return to normalcy.
10 August 2023¡Viva! Streets and ¡Viva! RTD: Spreading the word about Zero Fare
¡Viva! Streets Denver is a community-focused street festival that was held on four Sundays in May through August. Approximately 3.5 miles of Broadway in Denver were closed to vehicular traffic, allowing bikers and walkers to use the roads safely. The RTD Community Engagement Team attended the final installment of this year’s event on Sunday, Aug. 6.

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) announced the launch of the Zero Fare for Youth program at an event alongside local leaders. The initiative, a key recommendation resulting from the agency’s most recent fare study and equity analysis, was approved last month by the RTD Board of Directors. The one-year pilot program will allow youth ages 19 and younger to ride all RTD services at no cost from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2024.

RTD will perform necessary repairs to the parking garage at the Sheridan Station Park-n-Ride at 10th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard beginning Tuesday, Aug. 8 and lasting approximately one month. While repairs are underway, there will be no access to the garage from Sheridan Boulevard.
